Sterling Silver Earrings With Real Blue Morpho Aega Butterfly Wing
There are many types of morphos. The blue Morpho Aega, or Brazilian Morpho, is probably one of the most popular butterflies used for jewelry and even as inlay for woodworking. The term Blue Morpho actually refers to several butterfly species. The territorial habits of the forest-dwelling Blue Morpho were exploited by the native peoples along the Rio Negro in Brazil who lured them into clearings with bright blue decoys. The collected butterfly wings were used as decorations for ceremonial masks.
These butterfly-shaped sterling silver earrings also look like little puffy clouds and even a four-leaf clover. Cubic zircon gemstones enhance the earrings.
These whimsical blue Morpho Aega sterling silver earrings are also available using the Graphium Weiskei (Purple Passion or Purple Spotted Swallowtail butterfly) butterfly wing.
